About the Role
As Principal Officer in the Capital Team within the Education Infrastructure Service, you will coordinate activity and liaise between key stakeholders to ensure schools meet their needs, reacting to calls for repairs, refurbishment and expansion of physical space.
You will liaise with multiple internal and external agencies to secure the right solutions for schools in your geographical patch. You will navigate approvals and governance processes to secure correct authority pre‑project, and manage administrative support staff.
Communication is key; you will keep all parties informed throughout the project journey.

About You
We’re looking for someone positive, dynamic, solution‑based, able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Strong leadership and project management skills with experience in budget, risk, and programme management.
Good written skills for reports and briefing notes; good presentation skills.
Communication and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines.
Commitment to continuous improvement, inclusivity and safeguarding.
Well organised with experience of record keeping; great people person.
