We are recruiting for a Learning and Performance Manager to join us here at Octavius. We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Shape how we grow and perform as a business. Partner with the Head of Learning & Performance to deliver a forward-thinking L&D strategy that strengthens our culture, builds capability, and helps every colleague reach their potential.
* From learning needs analysis to designing and delivering bespoke programmes, create practical, impactful solutions that make a real difference.
* Take ownership of learning impact reporting, using data and insights to keep our development strategy focused and effective.
* Work with colleagues across every part of Octavius — from senior leaders to site teams — building strong relationships so learning is accessible and meaningful.
* Be part of a dedicated, supportive Learning & Performance team that is passionate about creating opportunities for people to thrive and be present across UK offices and project sites.

About you
* Natural communicator who enjoys bringing people together and inspiring them to learn.
* Organised and proactive, able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
* Passionate about helping others succeed and confident working with stakeholders at all levels to shape solutions that really work.
Your qualifications
* Solid experience in Learning & Development, with a track record of designing, delivering, and evaluating training programmes.
* Ability to turn business priorities into effective learning initiatives that drive performance.
* Strong data analysis skills, including confident use of Excel to measure impact and report results.
* Experience supporting professional development pathways (e.g. RICS, ICE, CIOB).
* Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) and ideally MCIPD (or working towards).
* A positive, solution-focused mindset and a genuine passion for learning and development.
