MK Act is a long-established domestic abuse charity with over 50 years’ experience supporting individuals and families across Milton Keynes. We provide refuge, advocacy, and long-term support to help survivors rebuild their lives.
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Fundraising, Marketing & Communications Officer to strengthen our public profile, raise awareness of domestic abuse, and secure vital income for our services. This role is ideal for someone passionate about meaningful communication, digital engagement, and charity-sector fundraising. We welcome applications from candidates interested in a job share.

What you’ll be doing:
* Marketing & Communications: manage and grow our digital presence; update the website; produce newsletters and external communications; maintain consistent branding; monitor analytics and engagement.
* Awareness & Campaigns: develop and deliver awareness campaigns; work with ambassadors and survivors to share impact stories; create promotional materials for events and outreach.
* Fundraising & Grant Writing: research and apply for funding; prepare high-quality funding applications; support partnerships and donor engagement; maintain funder relationships and reporting.
* Planning & Compliance: maintain the funding pipeline; report to the CEO and Board; produce impact and communications reports; ensure compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, and confidentiality requirements.
About you:
You’ll thrive in this role if you are creative, organised, and motivated by meaningful work.
Essential:
* Experience in marketing, communications or social media; successful track record in grant writing or charity fundraising; excellent written and verbal communication; strong relationship-building skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines; analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Desirable:
* Experience using CRM systems; experience communicating in sensitive or safeguarding-related contexts.
