A leading UK specialist in standby power, uninterruptible power supplies and CHP systems is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join its Projects team. Key Responsibilities
* Lead on-site commissioning of generator systems, ensuring full compliance with design, specification and performance requirements
* Attend internal design meetings and collaborate with Design Engineers and Project Managers
* Coordinate testing and commissioning activities, including documentation and procedural guidance
* Work closely with client-side engineers, BMS teams, DNOs and IT departments to ensure smooth project delivery
* Oversee system testing, record results, witness acceptance, and compile documentation for project handover
* Ensure safe and efficient commissioning of completed installations in line with project timelines
* Deliver on-site handover training to client teams
* Support installation activities and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) when required
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 3 years experience as a Generator Commissioning Engineer (or similar role)
* Strong electrical engineering knowledge across LV generation and power distribution systems
* Experience with control systems such as ComAp, Deep Sea Electronics (DSE), and related software suites
* Confident working with multi-set systems, synchronisation, G99 testing and commissioning
* Practical PLC programming experience
* Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and laptop-based engine/control software
* Able to work independently, manage on-site activities and handle pressured situations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
