If so, we want to hear from you.Impact Recruitment are currently working with a well-established machinery manufacturer based in Wellingborough who are looking to recruit a Machine Assembler / Builder to join their growing engineering team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on the assembly of bespoke, high-precision machinery while gaining exposure to customer installations both in the UK and overseas.Location: Wellingborough Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum (Negotiable DOE) + Bonus Contract: PermanentDuties:Assemble and fit a range of machine components including bearings, seals, pulleys, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, servo motors, and associated mechanical systemsRead and interpret mechanical assembly drawings, engineering schematics, and technical documentationInstall and commission hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systemsUse a variety of workshop equipment and hand tools to complete assembly work to a high standardConduct machine testing and inspections prior to dispatchSupport machine installations, upgrades, servicing, and repairs at customer sites across the UK and internationallyInspect components using precision measuring equipment and assist with spare parts preparationWork closely with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve build processesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support project delivery deadlinesThe ideal candidate must:Have previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Machine Builder, Assembly Technician, or similar engineering roleBe confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and assembly instructionsHave experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, motors, and mechanical assembliesBe comfortable using workshop equipment and hand toolsHold a valid UK Driving Licence and passport, with the flexibility to travel when requiredBe capable of working independently and as part of a teamHave strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to engineering challengesDesirable:Electrical assembly or fault-finding knowledgeForklift Truck LicencePrevious experience installing or commissioning machinery on customer sitesBenefits:Competitive salary with negotiable package depending on experienceService and production bonus schemesOpportunity for UK and international travelVaried and technically challenging projectsStable permanent position within a growing engineering businessSupportive and experienced engineering teamOngoing training and development opportunitiesIf this role sounds of interest to you then please apply with an up-to-date CV.Impact Recruitment is an employment agency working on behalf of our clientTPBN1_UKTJ
