Deputy Operations Manager
CK Group are recruiting for an Deputy Operations Manager to join our waste management, environmental, and recycling client-based industry, at their site near Sheffield.
This role will play a key role in ensuring the health and safety of all staff, contractors, and visitors, minimising environmental impact, delivering excellent customer service, and operating the site efficiently in line with budget expectations.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week. The salary is £35k - £45k.

Your main duties will be:
1. Supporting and deputising for the Operations Manager
2. Managing the operation and staff of multiple waste treatment facilities to ensure safety, compliance, and financial targets are met
3. Leading and managing staff and contractors to operate safely and compliantly
4. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with regulators, customers, and suppliers
5. Overseeing the reception, inspection, processing, and dispatch of wastes and treated residues
6. Liaising with technical staff for sampling, assessment, and monitoring of waste processing techniques
Your Background:
7. A degree in chemistry or a related subject
8. Experience in the process (chemical) or waste treatment industry
9. Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate
