Our client is a growing training provider with a strong reputation for supporting young people into sustainable careers in the construction industry. Working closely with local councils and construction employers, they deliver practical, hands-on training that helps learners build real-world skills and confidence.
With an expanding network and a friendly, supportive team, they are now seeking a dedicated Construction Tutor to join their team and play a key role in shaping the next generation of construction professionals.
The Role
As a Construction Tutor, you will deliver Level 1 & Level 2 Multi-Skills Construction programmes to small groups of learners aged 16–21. These are often vulnerable or disadvantaged learners, so patience, empathy, and a motivating approach are key.
You will be supported by a Workshop Assistant in all sessions, allowing you to focus on high-quality teaching and learner progression.
Key Responsibilities
 * 
 Plan, deliver, and assess engaging construction training sessions (Level 1 & 2 Multi-Skills).
 * 
 Teach a range of construction disciplines such as basic carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, and painting & decorating.
 * 
 Support learners in developing both technical and employability skills.
 * 
 Manage and monitor learner progress, attendance, and achievements.
 * 
 Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to maximise learner outcomes.
 * 
 Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
 * 
 Prepare learners for progression into apprenticeships or employment within the construction industry.
About You
We’re looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic tutor who thrives in a team environment and enjoys making a genuine difference to young people’s lives.
Essential:
 * 
 Experience in the construction industry (multi-skills background preferred).
 * 
 Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, or equivalent) — or willingness to work towards one.
 * 
 Strong communication and organisational skills.
 * 
 Ability to engage and motivate learners aged 16–21, including those from challenging backgrounds.
 * 
 Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.
Desirable:
 * 
 Previous experience teaching construction or delivering vocational training.
 * 
 Assessor qualification (TAQA or equivalent).
 * 
 Experience working with NEET or vulnerable learners.
