Overview
Buyer / Production Planner - Ellesmere, Shropshire. Location: Ellesmere. Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on skills and abilities). Permanent | Full-Time.
An established metal fabrication and engineering business in Ellesmere is seeking a skilled Buyer / Production Planner to join their operations team. This role combines procurement and production planning responsibilities, ensuring materials and resources are available to support smooth, efficient manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and schedule production to meet operational demands
* Source and procure raw materials and spare parts from suppliers
* Monitor production progress and report issues to management
* Ensure that special projects or unusual production runs have all materials in place to prevent delays
* Review and evaluate materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain production efficiency
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in a procurement, production planning, or similar operations role
* Background in manufacturing, engineering, or metal fabrication preferred
* Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent software
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to commute to Ellesmere
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 14:00 (37 hours per week)
Permanent, full-time role with a supportive team environment
