The role can be based from their Huddersfield or Leeds city centre offices, with flexibility for hybrid working to ensure a good work / life balance.\n\nThis is a great opportunity to get involved with a broad range of renovation, refurbishment and re-purposing schemes across both public and private sectors, including several exciting projects in the higher education, custodial and commercial sectors.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTypical responsibilities would include:\n\nProduce effective working drawing packages with the minimum of supervision\nAdvise on environmental and building regulatory requirements affecting the project\nA good understanding of current and future fire regulations\nAdvise on materials\nCarry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)\nCo-ordinate with other consultants/colleagues, disseminate information to team members and negotiate with statutory bodies\nEnsure compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements\nCo-ordinate detailed design information\nLiaise with and produce documentation for statutory and local approval authorities\nUse latest Revit Level 2 BIM processes\nProgramme work schedules and carry out inspections at various stages\nSource technical information, buildability awareness, carry out Health and Safety Risk assessments, prepare tender reports and recommendations, carry out measured surveys and implement and work to QA procedures\nAbout you\n\nSuitable candidates should be able to demonstrate:\n\nBSc or HND qualified in relevant subject, with no less than 5 years post qualification experience.\nCIAT registered would be preferred or working towards.\nExperience working as Architectural Technologist in an architectural practice or multi-disciplined design consultancy.\nAble to competently use 3D Autodesk Revit and 3D rendering packages, 2D AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.\nSound drawing and detailed design skills. \nAble to prepare working drawings, schedules and specifications.\nGood knowledge of construction and building law.\nStructured approach to problem solving and decision making.\nAble to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member.\nGood level of organisation, planning and management skills in order to effectively lead projects.\n\nRewards\n\nOur client offers an excellent package of rewards and benefits aligned to the market and performance, including annual salary reviews and a discretionary bonus scheme. \n\nSalary: Competitive salary based on experience\nWorking Hours: 37 hours per week (Hybrid Working)\n25 days holiday plus public holidays, increasing with service.\nSupport with career progression and education.\nPaid professional memberships.\nBUPA Health Cash Plan\nLife Assurance scheme\nDiscretionary bonus scheme\nCycle2Work scheme
