About the Role
We are seeking a Job Architecture expert for a 12-month FTC to help build a new structure from the ground up. The ideal candidate is someone who understands role leveling and structure, is excited about exploring innovative solutions, and can help shape Monzo's future.
As Monzo grows, we want to create a structure that scales with us—fair, clear, and supportive of our people. You will define roles, levels, and connect these with our pay and people systems. This isn't about fixing existing frameworks but creating a new one, guiding the process, and ensuring understanding across the company.
If you have experience at scale, enjoy tackling complexity, and are passionate about meaningful change, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and establish Monzo's future approach to Job Architecture, aligning with our vision and growth plans.
* Design the methodology and processes for Job Architecture, including ongoing management.
* Benchmark roles, define job families and levels, and support career progression.
* Lead the project from discovery to delivery, ensuring successful implementation.
* Engage with teams, shape solutions, and communicate the framework effectively.
* Provide strategic guidance based on best practices tailored to Monzo's needs.
This work impacts every team, creating clarity, fairness, and opportunity.
Ideal Candidate
* Extensive experience in designing and implementing global Job Architecture frameworks.
* Experience with internal role leveling and market benchmarking.
* Project management experience, including vendor management.
* Experience in Fintech, startups, or scaling companies.
* Understanding of HRIS systems and their interaction with Job Architecture.
Not all criteria need to be met—Monzo values diversity and growth potential. We encourage passionate applicants eager to learn and contribute.
Benefits
* Flexible salary depending on experience plus stock options.
* Flexible working hours and remote work support, including equipment.
* £1,000 annual learning budget.
* Additional benefits detailed on our website.
Application Process
The process includes:
1. A 30-minute call with a recruiter.
2. An initial team interview.
3. A practical written exercise.
4. 2-3 final remote interviews via Google Meet.
Estimated duration: 2-3 weeks. For questions or accommodations, contact business-hiring@monzo.
This role remains open until filled. Apply early to avoid missing out.
