About the role:We are seeking a skilled and reliable Data Administrator to join our Exams team, with a particular focus on English and Maths. This is a vital role supporting accurate, timely and compliant management of exam data across the college. About the role As Data Administrator, you will ensure that student exam entries, registrations and results are processed efficiently and accurately, meeting all awarding organisation and funding requirements. You will work closely with colleagues across Exams, MIS and support teams to streamline data processes, maintain up-to-date student records, and provide the information needed for funding, audit and reporting. A key part of your role will be liaising with awarding organisations, ensuring that exam bookings, papers and results are handled correctly and securely. You will also support the use of IT systems and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to improve accuracy and efficiency in how exam data is managed. Key responsibilities Accurately register students for exams and qualifications, particularly in English and Maths. Validate, verify and record achievement data in line with awarding body and funding agency requirements. Administer exam certificates and keep student records up to date. Coordinate with the ALS team to ensure exam support arrangements for students with additional needs. Keep staff informed of changes to awarding body regulations and qualification requirements. Develop and improve data processes, including the use of EDI and other IT systems. Maintain clear and secure records to support students in accessing their results in the future. About you We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent IT skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy. You should be comfortable using spreadsheets, databases and electronic data systems and be able to explain procedures clearly to staff and students. You will also need: A minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (or a willingness to achieve this). Experience of working with data systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines with precision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and professional approach. Experience of working in an educational environment and knowledge of awarding organisation processes would be an advantage, but are not essential.
