The ESOL department at Salford City College is committed to inspiring and developing students who are speakers of other languages, to extend their knowledge, skills and understanding of the English language and British culture. Our aim is to maximise students\' potential by improving their communication, literacy, and life skills, enabling students to become confident and independent contributors to modern British society. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Head of ESOL (16-18) to join our busy team. We welcome applicants with a proven track record of outstanding academic success. Candidates must possess a genuine interest in the subject area, be student focused, have a relevant subject degree and have an appropriate postgraduate qualification. The prospective candidate should have a proven track record of teaching ESOL across a variety of levels to both 16-18 and adult learners. As a Deputy Head of ESOL (16-18) you will be an inspirational and outstanding teacher who promotes the highest levels of achievement for all students. Using your enthusiasm and expertise, you will work closely with your team; leading, developing and monitoring the curriculum so as to maximise the achievement of all students.
