Mechanical Supervisor – Cambridge – 8 Month Contract
Starting January 2026.
As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee all mechanical installation activities on site, ensuring that works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification. You’ll liaise with project managers, coordinate mechanical teams, and take responsibility for maintaining quality and progress throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation teams on site
* Ensure all works meet drawings, specifications, and health & safety standards
* Oversee installation of HVAC, plantroom, and mechanical systems
* Attend site coordination meetings and report on progress
* Carry out quality checks and ensure compliance with project documentation
* Deliver toolbox talks and support RAMS implementation
* Assist with testing, commissioning, and project handover
Mechanical Supervisor Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large commercial projects
* Strong background in HVAC / Building Services installations
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification
* Valid CSCS/JIB card
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
* Strong understanding of health and safety compliance
Mechanical Supervisor Details
* £280 - £320 per day CIS
* 8-month contract with potential for extension
