We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their busy Distribution Centre in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on supervisor who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within a fast-paced logistics environment.
The Role
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will support the DC Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations while mentoring and developing the warehouse team. You'll play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, safety compliance, and performance standards across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate day-to-day DC operations
* Lead, support, mentor, and develop warehouse operatives
* Manage resource planning, holiday cover, and shift coordination
* Maintain structured end-of-day and shift handover reporting
* Monitor KPIs and implement improvements where required
* Ensure PO and STO activity is completed within company guidelines
* Support site Health & Safety standards and incident reporting processes
* Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, problem-solving tools)
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
About You
We're looking for someone proactive, approachable, and confident in making decisions within a warehouse environment.
You will ideally have:
* At least 5 years' experience within a distribution centre or similar setting
* Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
* Strong understanding of inbound and outbound logistics
* Knowledge of post-Brexit compliance requirements
* Experience using SAP
* Good IT skills (Word & Excel)
* Excellent communication skills
* A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team when needed
