Based at Living Potential Farm and Gardens, Carlston Hill Farm, Sicklinghall, LS22 4BN
Living Potential is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce for staff and volunteers. We actively encourage applications from the global majority (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates) as they are under-represented within Living Potential and within the farming, outdoor and nature-based activities sectors.
Living Potential is based on a beautiful farm overlooking the Wharfe Valley. We have a supportive care farm and a community gardens. LPCF works independently and not for profit. We transform lives by offering sanctuary where people and nature can thrive together. Every week we support over 135 beneficiaries grow in confidence, build lasting friendships and encourage independence. We support children and adults of all ages with challenges such as physical and learning disabilities, autism, dementia and mental health issues to engage in meaningful work giving people a real sense of value and purpose. We aim to help create a world where everyone is valued and where people look after themselves, each other and the planet.
An exciting opportunity has become available to support our activity coaches and therapeutic growers in the delivery of high quality practical skills, teaching and learning to small groups of all ages and abilities on our 20 acre site between Leeds and Harrogate.
The role includes working with communities of differing needs and our local community to showcase how we can work productively together to create sustainable futures. Applicants must be willing to work with people with disabilities and additional needs. A knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, regenerative farming would be advantageous.
We offer a rewarding workplace, good pay, training and sickness and holiday entitlements.
