Location: Skelmersdale Working hours: Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm Pay rate: £16 Trent Precast are looking for a detail-focused and reliable Quality Inspector to join their production team on a permanent basis. This role plays a vital part in ensuring finished precast concrete units meet required quality standards before dispatch. Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or precast concrete is a MUST for this role. Key Responsibilities Of a Quality Inspector Inspect finished precast concrete units to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. Identify, record, and report defects accurately using quality check sheets and internal systems. Carry out visual and dimensional checks in line with drawings, specifications, and tolerances. Ensure any non-conforming products are clearly identified and communicated to supervisors and production teams. Support corrective actions by working closely with production staff to resolve quality issues. Maintain clear and accurate quality records for traceability and audit purposes. Ensure all inspections are carried out in line with health and safety procedures. Assist with general quality and production tasks as required to support the wider operation. Key Requirements Of a Quality Inspector Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, construction, or precast concrete is a MUST. Good attention to detail with the ability to spot defects and inconsistencies. Basic understanding of quality standards, drawings, or specifications Confident recording information accurately and following inspection procedures. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship. Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
