What the Job Involves The role involves maintaining Abergavenny's street scene under the new Partnering Agreement between the Council and Abergavenny Town Council. You will perform grass cutting, maintain horticultural features, undertake landscaping, arboriculture work, litter collection, and graffiti removal. You will cleanse, repair, and paint street furniture, and apply herbicides or remove weeds. You are responsible for cleaning vehicles and performing safety inspections, using machinery as per manufacturers’ instructions, and adhering to Health and Safety legislation to ensure safety. The role requires a polite and orderly manner and could demand working outside normal hours for emergencies like floods, snow, or storms.
