SEN Teaching Assistant – Chichester Location: Chichester Pay: £85 – £100 per day (Dependent on Experience) Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm Contract Type: Full Time Start Date: Immediate Duration: Until July 2026 (Temporary Contract) A specialist provision in Chichester is seeking a committed and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their small, supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people with significant SEMH needs, helping them re-engage with learning in a structured and therapeutic environment. About the Provision This provision forms part of a wider Special School and Alternative Provision supporting children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education due to social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school offers: A nurturing and highly supportive environment where students can develop emotionally and academically Small class sizes (typically 1–5 students) enabling personalised, relationship-based support A curriculum designed to build emotional intelligence, resilience and meaningful qualifications Learners aged 11–16, many with EHCPs, requiring a consistent, trauma-informed approach The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of English and Maths to small groups of students with SEMH needs.
