Data Center Operations Manager – 12‑Month Contract (ASAP Start)
We’re seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to lead the delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement of a high‑availability critical environment across leased data center sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead day‑to‑day operational performance across mechanical & electrical systems.
2. Ensure full compliance with safety, security, CE standards, and service-level policies.
3. Oversee incident response for critical infrastructure issues and drive effective RCAs.
4. Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely maintenance and repair activities.
5. Reduce operational risk and human‑error incidents through strong governance.
6. Support energy‑efficiency, cost‑optimisation, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
7. Supervise CE audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
8. Provide clear reporting across power, temperature, humidity, and SLA performance.
9. Champion team knowledge sharing and operational best practices.
Required Experience
10. 4+ years in data center or critical‑environment operations (or 3+ years with relevant study).
11. Previously held Authorized Person / Senior Authorized Person status (mechanical or electrical).
Preferred
12. Experience with UPS, generators, AHUs, and other CE systems.
13. Engineering degree or technical certification.
14. Background in large‑scale CE projects and understanding of core IT infrastructure.
