The Role: Deliver engaging lessons to students aged 13–21 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs Teach a flexible timetable across subjects such as PSHE, Life Skills, and core subjects (or specialism) Plan, adapt, and deliver personalised learning for pupils with EHCPs and varying ability levels Build strong, consistent relationships with students who have experienced trauma or disruption Support students in developing emotional regulation, confidence, and key life skills Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and therapeutic teams The Setting: Specialist SEMH provision for secondary and post-16 learners Small class sizes and high support ratio Therapeutic, trauma-informed environment Focus on emotional wellbeing, re-engagement in learning, and preparation for adulthood Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant post-16 teaching qualification Experience working in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision (desirable but not essential) Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills Passionate about inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply) Why Work with Teaching Personnel?
