We currently have 2 opportunities for Site Services Shift Engineers within the Kettering Engineering team.
The job is based at the Kettering Production Plant, which produces plant-based milk alternatives. It is within the Maintenance department, specifically the Site Services department responsible for managing utilities at the plant.
The role involves shift work, with a pattern of 12-hour days and nights, which may be subject to change with prior notice.
The responsibilities include managing utilities such as air compressors, refrigeration, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units, and water treatment plants, as well as waste water treatment and site waste management. The role also covers general site services management.
Ideal candidates should demonstrate at least 3 years of relevant experience. Training will be provided through mentoring and formal methods.
About You
To succeed, you should have:
* Experience working with steam boilers at 15 bar, air compressors, boiler water treatment, and water softening plants.
* Experience managing waste water treatment plants and implementing waste recycling and cost reduction initiatives.
* Qualified maintenance engineer (time-served), preferably multi-skilled or willing to work towards this. Electrical bias candidates should have 16/17th edition qualifications.
* City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in engineering or maintenance.
* Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
* Understanding of safe working practices.
* Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
* At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
* Forklift certification is preferable.
* Good physical health, as the role involves walking, climbing, and lifting.
