Hours: 18 hours per week (2 shifts 08:00‑17:00 per week, including weekends)
Hourly rate: £13.45
Female support only.
Driving licence essential.
About the role

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!
Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.
Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. Meet Pippa
Pippa lives in her own home, and is a real home‑body. A typical day could be going for a wee walk, and getting a treat from McDonalds then heading home for a movie. In her downtime, Pippa loves turning the radio up to eleven, or watching her favourite TV show - Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Pippa receives support 7 days a week, usually 08:00‑17:00, then 17:00 overnight including a sleepover. Pippa is non‑verbal but has her own unique ways of communicating with her staff team, but also uses some Makaton. Pippa has epilepsy, so her staff are trained in how to support her if she has a seizure. Sadly, it’s not always possible for Pippa to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.
