ICT Teacher – Special Needs School (Andover Area)

Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement
Pay: £160 - £240 per day (based on experience and qualifications)
Location: Near Andover, Hampshire
Hours: Full-time 8:00am – 4:00pm
Position Overview:
Supply Desk are seeking a passionate and dedicated ICT Teacher to join a well-respected Special Needs School located near Andover. This long-term role is available to start immediately or from September 2024, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be working closely with students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs, including autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. You will deliver engaging and accessible ICT lessons tailored to individual learning styles and EHCP targets, within a highly supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated ICT lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners with additional needs.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to support students’ individual education plans (IEPs) and encourage engagement and independence.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with SEN staff, teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in line with school and statutory requirements.

Candidate Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in ICT or a related subject.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching ICT, ideally with students who have special educational needs (although SEN training/support will be provided for the right candidate).
A patient, compassionate approach and excellent communication skills.
Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding best practices.
