We are working with a fantastic secondary school who are seeking apassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team in September. This role involves working across all year groups to provide tailored, one-to-one support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Your new role
1. Deliver personalised support to SEND students, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
2. Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
3. Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
4. Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
5. Support students in both classroom and small group settings.
What you'll need to succeed
6. Experience working with SEND students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
7. A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting young people.
8. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
10. Relevant qualifications (, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training) are an advantage.
