About the role
This is a key role in the Dock area of our operation at our Outbase.
The role is physically demanding, and the successful candidate will need to be able to manoeuvre heavy mixed cages between Temperature Controlled environments, as part of the duties assigned to the position.
Successful candidates will be required to work 5 days per week between Sunday and Thursday with shift hours of 20:00 hrs to 04:00 hrs
Main Responsibilities
8. Unloading crossdock trailers and re-loading delivery vehicles.
9. Use of dock levellers and loading bays
10. Manage/oversee vehicle movements around the yard
11. Responsible for alarm setting of loading area
12. Liase with drivers on expectations and deal with operational delays/challenges
13. Vehicle temperature checks
14. Follow key safe procedure
15. Completing new load sheets
16. Call outs for vehicle breakdowns
17. Follow security procedures
18. General oversight of the night trunking operation
19. Liaise with DC on challenges/delays to loading
You will need
We are looking for flexible, reliable people with a 'can do' attitude and great team working ethics who will support Booker in achieving its aim to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
A basic understanding of Health and Safety is essential, along with a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.
