Personal Assistant/Support Worker Ref: BRR8816 Location: Tarring, Worthing Details This role is to support a Child Drivers licence required: Yes Own vehicle needed: Yes Employment status: Employed Hours per week: One school pick up per week. Set day preferred but could be flexible if given notice. Approx. 2.55pm-5pm. Hourly pay rate: £12.21 - We are looking for a caring, fun Personal Assistant to support our bright and cheerful 14-year-old daughter with one school pick-up per week and spend time with her enjoying fun, relaxed activities after school. She experiences a learning disability, developmental delay, hearing and vision loss, and some sensory challenges. She enjoys playing games on her i-PAd, board games, puzzles, play mobil and going to the park. You would also be required to supervise with getting a snack. You should be a reliable and compassionate person who can build a trusting friendship over time. You should also enjoy spending time with young people and can create a positive, engaging environment. If you’d like to make a difference and become a personal assistant to a lovely young lady who values friendship and fun, we’d love to hear from you! Driver with own car preferred but could use public transport. Non smoker preferred. Duties include: - Transportation - Companionship - Supervision with getting a snack - Playing fun activities at home and outdoors Candidate qualities: - Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality - Reliable with good timekeeping - Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative - Hygienic, tidy and well organised - Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties - Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills - Honest and cheerful - Creative - Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard - Able to always work to high standards of health & safety - Caring and compassionate - Fun - Positive - Enjoy working with young people Additional requirements Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours Notes: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
