About the Opportunity As a Director, you will play a senior leadership role within the Value Price Access practice, sponsoring high‑impact strategic engagements for global biopharma clients and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
You will work closely with senior client stakeholders to address critical strategic questions such as:
How should a novel oncology asset be positioned to maximise reimbursement potential globally?
What evidence generation strategies are required to support value in rare diseases?
How should global pricing strategy evolve across increasingly complex payer environments?
How can market access risks be anticipated and mitigated early in development?
What franchise‑level access and policy strategies will support long‑term commercial success?
Your time will be broadly split across:
~65% project sponsorship and strategic client leadership
~35% business development and account growth, along with people leadership, capability building and practice development
You’ll be part of a fast‑growing, PE‑backed organisation, where senior leaders play an active role in shaping client impact, team development and the future direction of the practice.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Project Leadership
Sponsor and oversee multiple value, pricing and access strategy engagements across the product life cycle
Provide strategic direction across complex, high‑value projects involving global market access, pricing, reimbursement and value strategy
Guide teams in synthesising evidence, research and payer insights into clear, commercially relevant recommendations
Ensure project quality, scientific rigour and strategic relevance across all client deliverables
Oversee project scope, resourcing, timelines and financial performance
Lead senior‑level client workshops, advisory boards and strategic discussions
Provide oversight of quantitative and qualitative analyses in partnership with analytics and cross‑functional teams
Support integrated strategic solutions across Commercial, Medical and Competitive Strategy practices
Serve as a senior strategic advisor to client stakeholders
Build long‑term relationships across key client accounts
Identify opportunities for follow‑on work and broader strategic partnerships
Lead and contribute to business development activities, including proposals, pitches and capability presentations
Drive revenue growth within existing and new accounts
Represent the practice externally through conferences, thought leadership and industry engagement
Line manage, coach and mentor consultants and junior team members
Develop high‑performing teams through structured coaching, feedback and professional development
Support recruitment, onboarding and talent development initiatives
Contribute to performance review, promotion and talent calibration discussions
Lead internal capability‑building initiatives, including training programmes and knowledge sharing
Contribute to the strategic growth and operational development of the Value Price Access practice
Foster collaboration and connectivity across Prescient’s broader consulting teams
Thought Leadership & Expertise Development
Develop and contribute to externally facing thought leadership in value, pricing and access strategy
Build recognised expertise in at least one core area of the Value Price Access offering
Support the development of innovative methodologies, frameworks and strategic approaches
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Prescient’s integrated consulting capabilities
Travel
Directors are expected to travel as frequently as necessary to ensure successful delivery of projects, strong client relationships and business development activities.
Essential Skills and Experience
Significant experience in market access, pricing, commercial strategy or life sciences consulting
Strong understanding of:
Drug development and commercialisation
Global pricing and reimbursement systems
HTA and payer decision‑making
Access strategy across major global markets
Deep experience in oncology, rare diseases, specialty therapeutics or other complex disease areas
Extensive client‑facing experience with senior stakeholder engagement responsibilities
Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving capabilities
Experience leading complex consulting engagements and cross‑functional teams
Proven business development and account growth experience
Strong communication, presentation and executive facilitation skills
Experience mentoring and developing consulting teams
Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environments
Education: BA/BS required; Advanced degree (PhD, MSc, MBA, MPH or similar) preferred in health policy, health economics, business or life sciences
