About the Role (French Speaker) Based in the UK initially with relocation to Penly or Gravelines after 2 years Full-Time, Permanent. 3-4 days on site and 1-2 days working from home or other offices. If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our EPR2 Development Programme ! The Opportunity The EDF Group is poised to make history with the world's largest investment in EPR2 technology. As we advance the HPC Project in the UK, France is set to lead the way with the construction of six cutting-edge reactors in Penly, Gravelines, and Bugey. The EPR2 Development Program, as part of Project Bridge, offers a unique opportunity for Junior professionals to join Europe’s largest construction site and build the skills required to support us with our EPR2 builds in France. Initially you will spend two years in the UK on our HPC project, based either on site or at one of our satellite offices in Bridgwater or Bristol. After 2 years, you will then be transferred to EDF France, on one of our EPR2 construction site (Penly or Gravelines). This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a programme allowing you to develop new skills you will be able to use on other EPR2 sites. A dedicated team will be at hand to accompany you throughout the onboarding process and relocation to the UK (when applicable) and back to France. During your stay in the UK, you will benefit from Sponsorship, Mentoring programs, providing you with the right level of support and allowing you to build your network of connections in the UK and in France. At the end of your 24-month stay at HPC, we will also support your transfer back to France (practically and financially) when it is time for you to work on the EPR2 project. What you will be doing… Support the NNB Client Health and Safety Function to deliver safety strategies and implementation plans that will help reach the EDF Energy and HPC Project objectives. Ensure strategies and plans provide effective and proportionate control of occupational health and safety related risks, whilst ensuring NNB/HPC remain compliant with health and safety regulatory requirements. Provide a visible and proactive focal point for health and safety within the NNB client organisation based at Aztec West and other locations. Working closely with HR functions to ensure the EDF Energy Health and Wellbeing strategy and Travel Policy is implemented and developing arrangements which target the causes of musculoskeletal injuries, workplace stress and mental health problems. Monitor the facilities management service providers at Aztec West to ensure client OSH arrangements associated with fire safety and first aid are implemented effectively, and monitoring arrangements are adequate. Provide a focal point for office related OSH issues across the NNB Client organisation Champion the manage DSE process and providing competent advice to Client team members Maintain the NNB General Health and Safety Risk Assessments and office specific risk assessments Ensure client arrangements for fire safety and first aid are implemented adequately at client offices Maintain the First Aid Needs Risk Assessment in consultation with FM service providers Support the implementation of the Client Wellbeing Strategy and associated plans Undertake assigned client assurance activities in support of the client assurance plan Develop impactful promotions to support delivery of client OSH plan and Zero Harm Campaign Attend client HESAC meetings with TU safety representatives and reporting on office OSH matters Support the client with the delivery of random alcohol and drug testing at client offices Engage with the EDF corporate OSH teams to bring about best practices and new initiatives. Knowledge & Skills Demonstrable interest in OSH and willingness to develop skills in this discipline Able to influence people at all levels in the benefits associated with effective health and safety management Able to build positive working relationships with peer group and stakeholders. Understanding of OSH principles and the regulatory framework NEBOSH Health and Safety General Certificate on OSH or willing to undertake the qualification Mental Health First Aid Qualification or willingness to complete. Fluent in French As you will be based in France after 2 years, you must be in a position to relocate at that point and be able to speak French at a professional level.
