Housing Officer role at CHOICEHOUSE LIMITED– Choice Housing is one of Northern Irelands leading housing associations. We manage over 13,000 homes and support around 40,000 tenants, delivering a wide range of housing solutions including general needs, sheltered housing, support accommodation, and homes for families with complex needs.
Choice Housing is seeking to recruit Housing Officers for both fixed patches and Peripatetic roles to provide an efficient, responsive and customer-focused Housing Management Service. To be successful, you will need comprehensive knowledge and experience of delivering housing management services and a proven track record of managing Arrears, Allocations, Voids and Anti-Social Behaviour.
Responsibilities
* Provide an efficient, responsive, and excellent customer-focused Housing Management Service to customers (peripatetic and fixed patch roles).
* Manage Arrears, Allocations, Voids and Anti-Social Behaviour.
Essential criteria
* CIH Level 4 + 2 years relevant housing management or tenancy management experience (as set out in the job description) with a social landlord or local authority.
* OR Degree in any discipline + 2 years relevant housing management or tenancy management experience with a social landlord or local authority.
* OR 3 years experience as a Housing Officer (or equivalent) within the last 5 years.
* Working knowledge of the rules of the Housing Selection Scheme; to include allocation of properties, assessment of transfer applications, assignments, mutual exchanges, etc.
* Experience of Microsoft Office programmes including Excel and Word.
* Must have UK full driving licence and have vehicle available for daily business use.
