Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes. This is a hands-on role to effectively process and control consumables, engineered parts, and finished parts through safe and accurate storage, control and handling. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate stock control and the safe handling of materials across goods-in, stores, line feeding, issuing and kitting of parts, yard areas, chassis pre-assembly, and marshalling.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
* Mandatory structured overtime depending on production requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately stock control and safely handle materials (engineered parts, consumables, and finished products), through goods in, stores, production issuing / kitting parts, yard area (delivery / storage / collection) and stores development.
* Maintain accurate information on the company systems by accurately recording quantities, part identification, and part location. Monitor, control and requisition the range of consumables held within the store's areas.
* Perform stock takes and cycle checks in line with company procedures and highlight any inaccuracies. Make stock adjustments and identify and prevent reoccurences.
* Safely and effectively coordinate, handle, kit and control the companies stock/inventory from suppliers, between manufacturing operations and through to dispatch.
* Efficiently organise and control allocated logistics operations, including compliance with health and safety standards and development of skills through the complete stock control process
* Full compliance with ISO 9001 and internal company processes.
* Total quality focus throughout all direct / indirect stages of the stores process to achieve a quality product aligned to the customer's expectations.
* Maintain a high standard of maintenance and housekeeping including daily maintenance of the company's material handling facilities and equipment.
* Attend daily stakeholder team meetings and action any requirements. Continuous improvement through lean manufacturing implementation.
* Work as a team to achieve customer quality, delivery, cost and innovation requirements. Ensuring company procedures are complied with.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience in material handling
* FLT (Flexi/Bendi) and Counterbalance licences (desirable)
* Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Salary & Earnings:
* Guaranteed hourly starting rate: £12.86 per hour (rising to a maximum of £13.96 per hour once signed off at specific skill levels)
* Additional Weekly Bonus: approximately £75 - £100 per week (for ref. only), guaranteed at a minimum of £50 per week, payable when all qualifying criteria are met.
* Overtime: paid at a premium rate (x1.5 or x2.0 depending on hours worked)
* Annual Bonus: £500 per annum (for ref. only, based on recent average)
