Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? At Kerry, we’re excited to announce an opening for Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers at our Coleraine manufacturing site. With new production lines launching, we need dedicated professionals to support our operations through a rotating 12-hour shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a vital member of our team, you will:
* Prioritize Safety: Comply with Health and Safety Policies to ensure a safe working environment.
* Perform Maintenance: Handle both electrical and mechanical maintenance, including preventative measures and troubleshooting breakdowns.
* Collaborate: Work closely with Production shift managers and teams to meet plant efficiency targets.
* Uphold Standards: Ensure all food safety standards are maintained during maintenance activities.
* Manage Inventory: Maintain material stock levels and manage spare parts bookings.
* Oversee Contractors: Supervise contractors working on-site to ensure compliance and quality.
* Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure high housekeeping standards in all engineering areas.
* Engage in Projects: Participate in new installations and projects as needed.
* Document Processes: Develop and update work instruction sheets and risk assessments.
What Do You Need to Succeed?

* Experience: Time-served multi-skilled engineer with mechanical and electrical expertise.
* Qualifications: Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline (e.g., BTEC National Certificate/Diploma).
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify root causes of efficiency issues and develop effective solutions.
* Tech Savvy: Computer literacy is essential.
* Organizational Skills: Logical and well-organized approach to tasks.
* Communication Skills: Effective communicator at all levels, both internally and externally.
* Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Health & Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge and appreciation of health and safety practices.
