Parts Supervisor – Commercial Vehicles Salary: £36,832 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week, including Saturday mornings on a rota basis (1 in 3 or 1 in 4) Contract: Permanent Earning Potential (OTE) Basic Salary: £36,832 per year. Overview We're looking for an experienced Parts Supervisor to lead a team within a commercial vehicle operation. You'll oversee a department consisting of two Parts Advisors, two Parts Delivery Drivers, and an Apprentice. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll be responsible for motivating staff, maximising profitability, and ensuring excellent customer service. You'll also drive online sales via eBay and maintain high stock standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise, control, and motivate the parts department team to achieve growth and retention. Ensure all customers are served in a professional and efficient manner to build loyalty. Maximise profitability in line with parts budget and achieve monthly sales targets. Expand online sales via eBay to maximise profit and customer service. Maintain stock levels to a high standard through perpetual stock checking (3 full checks per year). Ensure security of all company property and maintain a tidy, organised workspace. Train and develop staff, completing appraisals and identifying training needs. Manage and coordinate parts delivery drivers effectively. Ensure cash invoices are cleared daily and Service 24hr vans are stock checked. Promote manufacturer parts and stimulate business through workshop outlets. Ensure phones are answered within 3 rings with the correct company greeting. What You'll Need Previous experience supervising a parts department, preferably within commercial vehicles. Strong leadership and motivational skills. Excellent communication abilities with staff, customers, and suppliers. A proactive approach to driving sales and achieving targets.
