Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st March 2026 (with possibility of extension)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Policy and Projects Officer to join the Keeping Bristol Safe Partnership (KBSP) Business Unit.

The KBSP Business Unit works with the senior leadership team, administration, elected Councillors and partners across the city and beyond, to shape and coordinate the safeguarding partnership’s overarching strategic approach to policy, strategy and quality assurance in response to statutory duties, guidance and legislation.

The KBSP Policy and Projects Officer takes a senior subject matter expert role in this team, being proactive in strategic planning and overseeing the provision of a robust, well-maintained policy & strategy framework and governance. It ensures the partnership has a full suite of fit-for-purpose policies and strategies against statutory guidance and legislation and compliance-checking of partnership-wide strategic, technical and operational policy and strategy development.

With the implementation of Working Together 2023, you will need a sound knowledge of legislation and local authority procedures to ensure compliance across the partnership.

You will be responsible for completing audits across the partnership. You will have experience in forging influential and beneficial relationship across organisations at a senior level to ensure the timely completion of required work.

This is a full-time secondment position until 31st March 2026 (with possibility of extension) and would suit someone who can manage multiple co-existing projects using their high-quality project management skills. You will be confident in presenting to a variety of stakeholders and be driven to include service user voice in the decisions we make.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
