We are looking to recruit an passionate and innovative Occupational Therapist who and has previous experience of working or practice placements in mental health or young people and families.
You will have excellent communication skills, strong engagement and motivational skills and be flexible in working with service users with complex mental health needs, their families and support systems.
This post is a 8 month secondment/fixed term post offering an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work within the Crisis resolution and home treatment team.
This post forms part of our Occupational Therapy Risk Pathway in CAMHS, which is made up of Occupational Therapists working in our inpatient and intensive community support team.
In the Crisis Team you will be working as part of a dynamic and supportive Multi-Disciplinary Team comprising of Nursing staff, Social Workers, Clinical Psychology, Consultant Psychiatry, and a Speciality Doctor. Within this role, you will work closely with young people and their families during periods of mental health crisis, providing timely and person-centred occupational therapy input to support stabilisation and recovery.

Main duties of the job
* To provide occupational assessment, intervention, and review for a caseload of young people while maintaining delivery of the highest standard of care consistently and safely.
* To ensure that case management utilises evidence based, client centred, recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.
* To improve the day to day lives of young people and enable them to avoid future health inequities.
* To liaise with outpatient Occupational Therapists and other professionals where appropriate to facilitate discharge planning and further referrals.
* To offer professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
* To feed into wider CRHT (CRISIS Home Treatment) care planning and formulation.
* To work with and liaise with our other Occupational Therapist who support in delivering the Occupational Therapy Risk pathway, that covers across Crisis, Intensive community support team and inpatient unit.
