Job description
Prospero Teaching are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Tutors to support learners who require alternative provision in the Worthing area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need tailored, engaging, and practical learning experiences.
As a Tutor, you will:
1. Deliver well-paced, interactive sessions that inspire and support learners.
2. Work with students who typically require 2-15 hours of tuition per week.
3. Adapt sessions to the needs of individual learners.
4. Have the opportunity to tutor multiple learners, offering flexibility for full-time or part-time work.
About you:
5. Individuals with experience as QTS Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Cover Supervisors, HLTAs, or non-qualified teachers.
6. Confidence in planning and delivering lessons that meet individual needs.
7. Ability to teach Maths, English, or Science.
8. Specialists in other subjects are welcome, though opportunities may be less frequent.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
9. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Experience of working with learners with SEN
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
10. Hold right to work in the UK
11. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
12. Provide references upon request
13. Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
