We are a multinational law firm headquartered in London, with most of our data estate based on Microsoft technologies. We have just started our transition from on premise SQL Servers and SSIS to Azure SQL, Fabric and Power BI. To build and support these new platforms, we are expanding our data team with more data engineers and data analysts. The data engineering team is led by the Senior Data Engineer and reports to the IT Development Manager. Role and Responsibilities Power BI – Reports and ModelsTranslate Business Data Strategy into engaging Reports & Insights Create semantic models, reports, dashboards and apps Troubleshoot existing models, reports, dashboards and apps Manage Row-Level and Column-Level Security Manage Data Gateways, Connections and Credentials Microsoft FabricAdmin Portal Configuration and Tenant Settings Manage Workspace Roles, Item-Level Permissions and OneLake Security Build and maintain Data Pipelines Build and maintain Data Warehouses Essential Skills Microsoft Power BI ( PL-300 Certification or similar experience ) Microsoft Fabric ( DP-600 / DP-700 Certification or similar experience ) Programming Languages ( T-SQL, DAX, M ) Enthusiasm for learning and self-study Proficient in creating process documentation and architecture diagrams Comfortable engaging with people from all teams ( IT, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Directors ) Desirable Skills Experience working in a law firm or with legal teams Experience building and supporting complex Financial Reports in Power BI Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (Finance & Operations) Microsoft Dynamics warehousing (BYOD, Synapse Link and Fabric Link) SQL Database Administration ( DP-300 Certification or similar experience ) Microsoft Azure SQL Database Microsoft Azure SQL Managed Instance Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Azure Data Factory Who are we looking for?
