Serving patients from our GP practices, FICS offers various clinical and non‑clinical NHS commissioned services and provides urgent same‑day care and integrated care management.

Main Duties
* Conduct medication reconciliation using clinical correspondence and hospital discharge summaries.
* Support effective medicines management, including prescription screening and processing.
* Respond to and communicate with patients regarding medication‑related queries.
* Liaise with local community pharmacies to address supply issues and medicine shortages.
* Carry out medication synchronisation to align with regular repeat prescriptions.
* Manage medication monitoring recalls, such as blood pressure checks, blood tests, and annual reviews.
* Undertake prescribing audits aligned with CQC and QOF priorities, as directed by the Prescribing Team (training available).
* Complete routine and annual medication monitoring tasks.
* Work within Shared Care Protocols to support safe prescribing and monitoring.
* Action medicines safety alerts issued by CAS, MHRA and the ICB.
* Perform Level 1 and Level 2 medication reviews (training provided as needed).
* Assist with pre‑SMR (Structured Medication Review) screening processes (training available).
Qualifications
Essential
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Desirable
* Completion of the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP), or evidence that you have already started or are working towards its completion.
Skills

* Knowledge of repeat prescribing processes.
* Understanding of medicines optimisation and patient safety.
* Familiarity with CQC and QOF standards.
* Good communication and organisational skills.

Experience
Essential
* Experience in primary care or community pharmacy.
* Medicines reconciliation and medicines management.
* Working within a multidisciplinary team.

* Experience using EMIS.
