We are looking to recruit a band 5 Podiatrist to our Dunoon team. Working alongside a highly experienced band 6 Podiatrist.
The base will be Dunoon but also covers clinical support on Isle of Bute.
May also require travel between other sites for upskilling and clinical support.
The post is based in a community hospital, allowing continued inter-professional links to multiple health professionals.
Our community teams are highly skilled and are able to provide all aspects of podiatry care including MSK, care of the high risk foot, wound management and health promotion. This requires the successful applicant to have the experience and confidence to handle working as a team but also independently, whilst following treatment plans.
An ability to demonstrate clinical experience would be beneficial but new graduates will be considered for this post and will be supported through Flying Start, clinical supervision and regular peer support.
A BSc Honours qualification in Podiatry and HCPC registration is required for application to this post.
The successful applicant will also be qualified in administration of local anaesthetic and confident in carrying out nail surgery. The Podiatrist should be able to demonstrate a sound professional and clinical knowledge, with understanding of clinical governance and its application.
Of great importance, is an ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to prioritise, plan and organise your clinical workload are also essential requirements. along with a full current driving licence.
Dunoon is easily accessible by ferry from Inverclyde, which is a short drive to the west of Glasgow.
