Role Overview
As Academy Manager you will oversee the day‑to‑day operational delivery of our Hair & Beauty academies, ensuring high standards of quality education, commercial activity, learner success and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage overall academy performance and achieve agreed KPIs.
* Lead, line‑manage and develop academy staff to a high standard.
* Drive learner attendance, retention and achievement.
* Produce daily/weekly/monthly reports and present to executive team.
* Support functional skills scheduling and classroom delivery.
* Lead improvement actions from the Quality Improvement Plan.
* Keep the academy cost‑effective against budgeted expenditures.
* Represent the academy in employer engagement activities.
* Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Officer and support safeguarding policy implementation.
* Collaborate with the Quality team for audit compliance and standardisation.
Essential Criteria
* Hair and/or Beauty qualification Level 3 or above.
* Level 3+ teaching and assessing qualifications.
* GCSE Maths & English or equivalent.
* Knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework.
* Knowledge of the PFA and ESFA audits and guidelines.
* Excellent communication at all levels.
* Adaptability and strong attention to detail.
* Relationship‑building skills for developing stakeholders.
* Creative thinker, communicating new ideas.
