The Role
: (not exhaustive)
1. To competently complete the registration process with Ofsted and become the Registered Manager.
2. To establish, implement and maintain the quality standards and monitor the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care to children and young people referred to our service by children’s services policies and procedures.
3. To monitor and maintain good practice per the quality standards and other relevant legislation.
4. To proactively and effectively lead and develop the staff team consistently in conjunction with the deputy and team leaders.
5. To allocate managerial paperwork to senior staff members and any appointed deputy.
6. To act as a positive role model, using effective communication and appropriate language and methods.
7. Delegation of tasks appropriate to the ability to enable the development of staff skills.
8. To provide professional supervision for all staff, some of which is delegated through other senior staff members, to aid their development, learning and understanding of their role.
9. Contribute to regular appraisals.
10. To contribute to the recruitment process, including shortlisting for interviews and undertaking membership of the interview panel.
11. To be proactive in organising visits and forwarding appropriate material to referring authorities and families.
12. To always represent children’s services in a professional and friendly manner.
13. To be prepared to facilitate Ofsted inspections at any time by answering questions professionally and providing requested material.
14. To carry out regulation 45 reports and contribute to the process of Regulation 44 reports.
Requirements:
Must have:
15. Experience within a Deputy or Registered Manager capacity in an Ofsted regulated service
16. A full UK driving licence
17. A clean DBS
18. QCF Level 3/4 or working towards Level 5
