Overview

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Analyst Apprentice (Level 4). This role will be based on site in Birmingham. Working as a Data Analyst Apprentice, your role will be to provide assistance in data handling and analysis in the Finance team.


Responsibilities

* Work closely with the finance team in project delivery and cost monitoring activities by assisting with data preparation, report generation, and analysis.
* Support data integration activities, combining information from ERP systems, Excel files, and cloud-based platforms into unified reporting solutions.
* Assist in producing reports and dashboards to monitor project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and cost trends using Power BI and Excel.
* Help analyse existing business processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements under supervision.
* Management, recording and resolution of invoice queries in a timely manner reporting.
* Provide first-line support for TiPS and TSP users, responding to basic inquiries and escalating more complex issues to senior team members.
* Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of TiPS and TSP systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
* Monitor TSP entries to identify missing or unapproved hours and follow up with relevant teams as needed.
* Be a key component in direct labour activities, entering timesheet data, and dealing with any queries that arise and being involved in the weekly labour meetings.
* Carry out administrative processes to a high standard with attention to detail relating to cost control, proactively book good receipts accurately (i.e. against relevant task code) and in a timely manner with the aim to increase the STP % and meet the FPC (fair payment code) requirements.
* Good Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Excel.


Qualifications

* Ability to handle and work with complex data is required along with good communication skills.
* Strong communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Knowledge of accounting routines is essential.
* Construction/construction related accounting experience is desirable.
* Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role.

* Apprenticeship Length: 24 months (this does not include EPA period)
