We are pleased to be recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join the team at a well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes. This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), permanent position to begin in September 2025.
This opportunity is ideal for a qualified DT teacher with a passion for inspiring creativity, innovation, and technical skill in students. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across a range of key stages, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to thrive.
The successful candidate will bring strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom practice, and a collaborative approach to teaching. You will work alongside a friendly and dedicated team, contributing to the ongoing development of the Design and Technology curriculum and wider school life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, practical, and well-structured DT lessons that support student progress and enjoyment.
* Plan and prepare lessons in line with curriculum requirements, adapting to the varying needs of learners.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
* Create a positive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued, supported, and challenged.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across the school.
* Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and enrichment activities where appropriate.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level
* Up-to-date knowledge of the DT curriculum and current teaching practices
* Experience teaching within the UK education system
* Enhanced DBS clearance
* Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
* A genuine enthusiasm for the subject and a commitment to student development
