Installation Technician (Electrical Bias)
Location: Buckinghamshire (based)Type: Permanent
The Role
We are looking for an Installation Technician with an electrical bias to support the build, installation, and commissioning of production machinery. This is a hands-on role, working on-site to install and set up production lines and automated equipment.
You will be involved in full installation projects, from first and second fix through to final commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Install and assemble production machinery and equipment
* Carry out electrical wiring (power, control & signal)
* Support first and second fix installations
* Assist with installation of full production lines
* Work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
* Support commissioning and testing of machinery
* Troubleshoot faults during installs and setup
* Work alongside project teams on installation activities
* Maintain high standards of safety and quality on site
Requirements
* Electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent)
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in installation roles
* Strong background in electrical installation and wiring
* Experience installing industrial machinery or production lines
* Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and systems
* Experience working on projects and site-based installations
* Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
* Practical, hands-on, and detail-oriented
Desirable
* Experience with automated machinery or robotics
* Exposure to manufacturing or production environments
* Mechanical installation experience alongside electrical
