Job role
STEP Pharmacists assist in delivering comprehensive pharmacy services and provide operational support within the department as part of a rotational programme.
Pharmacists undertake postgraduate diplomas in General Practice Pharmacy at University College London (UCL) or an equivalent Post Registration Foundation Pharmacist Development Programme, meeting NHS standards for high-quality patient care and professional standards set by GPhC.
This position is open to trainee pharmacists registered with GPhC in August/November 2024. Applicants should use their GPhC Trainee Pharmacist number when applying.
Main duties
* Participate in a structured, post-foundation workplace-based training programme in a hospital setting, integrated with postgraduate pharmacy qualifications.
* Adapt quickly to clinical rotations, 7-day working, on-call services, and operational duties including patient services and aseptics.
* Work at our PRUH site and potentially rotate to other trusts in South East London, including Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
