About The Role
We are looking to offer an Apprentice Data Analyst the opportunity to join our expanding Finance Business Intelligence team based in Leeds .
We will be holding an assessment day in July 2024 and you'll need to be available to attend to progress with your application. The start date for the apprenticeship is in September 2024 and you'll need to be available to start on the programme at this point.
This apprenticeship will last for 24 months and once completed you will have a Level 4 Data Analyst qualification! Please see below the salary for the role based off age: 21 and over - £22,011 per annum18 to 20 - £16,547 per annumUnder 18 - £11,648 per annum
About the role
You’ll be working alongside qualified and highly experienced members of staff, many of whom would have started their careers as an Apprentice just like you. You will have a dedicated mentor assigned who will help you maximise your potential by sharing your knowledge.

As the Apprentice Data Analyst you’ll get the opportunity to:
1. Source data from a collection of already identified trusted sources in a secure manner
2. Collate and format data to facilitate processing and presentation for review and further advanced analysis by others
3. Present data for review and analysis by others, using Power Bi
4. Blend data by combining data from various sources and formats to explore its relevance for the business needs
5. Analyse simple and complex structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes using basic statistical methods to analyse the data
6. Validate results of analysis using various techniques, e.g cross checking, to identify faults in data results and to ensure data quality
7. Communicate results verbally, through reports and technical documentation and tailoring the message for the audience
8. Store, manage and share data securely in a compliant manner
What you’ll bring?
9. Be able to commute to the Stevenage office 3 days per week and live within a 30 minute commute
10. Keen to learn with an interest in development and progression
11. Excellent attendance and timekeeping
12. Ability to use own initiative
13. Must have a ‘can do’ attitude; to be polite and courteous
14. 5 GCSES Grades 4 to 9 (A* to C) including Maths and English and will be able to provide certificates. Candidates who have not achieved these grades will be considered however you will be required to undertake Functional Skills Level 1 as part of the apprenticeship programme, which is equivalent to GCSE qualifications.
Apprenticeship Development Scheme
15. As an Apprentice within M Groups Services you will undertake both a technical programme as well as our internal EU Skills endorsed Apprenticeship Development Scheme (ADS) programme.
16. The ADS programme is a blend of online and face to face sessions, involving soft skills development and mental health/pastoral care support. Some elements of the scheme are residential, which will take place in England. Therefore, applicants must be prepared to travel and stay away from home
17. The remainder of your time will be spent with our training provider or under supervision on site.
18. Whilst on your apprentice programme, your travel to and from the providers’ locations, hotel accommodation and all meals will be fully paid for.
