Project Manager
The company
This Project Manager’s role is with one of the UK’s leading multi-disciplined construction companies. They undertake a wide range of activities providing a cradle-to-grave solution. One of their core activities is Facilities Management, and this role is within their Projects division, undertaking a wide range of schemes primarily focused on fit-out and M&E services with values from £30k to £1m. They have a structured growth plan in place, and their turnover has been increasing year on year. They are keen to grow the team to meet demand.
The role
The primary focus will be to take responsibility for the delivery of multiple refurbishment/cut and carve projects from inception through to handover.
1. Develop and implement detailed programmes and schedules to allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress, and implement actions to achieve targeted performance.
2. Identify quality expectations and incorporate these into the Quality Plan.
3. Implement measures to ensure compliance with customer requirements and the project business plan.
4. Develop and implement site establishment and ensure the efficient and effective management of site logistics.
5. Implement all statutory, regulatory, and company requirements for managing Health and Safety, ensuring compliance with the H & S plan.
6. Implement all statutory, regulatory, and company requirements for environmental and waste management.
7. Manage and discharge all regulatory requirements regarding planning and building regulations approvals.
8. Interpret and analyze design information, recommend alternative design solutions, and ensure inaccuracies are addressed.
9. Ensure measures are in place for the timely delivery of design information.
10. Contribute to the supply chain selection process, provide regular feedback, and manage supply chain performance.
11. Agree requirements for time, cost, and quality aspects of trade contractor packages.
To be successful, you will be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate, and engaging approach when supporting the business. You should have good writing and analytical skills and solid experience in taking full responsibility and leadership for M&E services.
