Our client is a fast-growing manufacturer of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and fabricated equipment for sectors including Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Water Treatment and Heavy Industry. Due to continued expansion they're looking for a skilled Plater / Fabricator to join their production team in Pencoed and help deliver high-quality engineered products to customers around the world.The RoleCutting, grinding and laying out sheet metal, plate, tube, pipe, channel and anglePerforming MIG and MMA tack welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminiumAssembling and fabricating high-quality finished productsMarking out cylinders, nozzle locations and weld preparationsUsing plasma and gas cutting equipment safely and effectivelyPreparing pipework, flanges and structural components for weldingFollowing strict health and safety procedures and PPE requirementsAbout YouPrevious experience as a Plater, Fabricator or Metal FabricatorConfident reading fabrication drawings and working accurately to dimensionsExperience using workshop equipment such as saws, drills, rotators, manipulators and cranesKnowledge of pressure vessels, pipework or structural steelwork is advantageousComfortable working at height and in confined spacesStrong understanding of workshop safety standards and safe working practicesForklift training is beneficial but not essentialWhy Join Us?Competitive hourly rate (Negotiable dependent on experience)Permanent, full-time position39-hour working week with an early finish on FridaysStable work within a growing engineering businessSupportive team environment and long-term career opportunitiesIf you take pride in high-quality fabrication and want to work on complex engineering projects in a respected manufacturing business, we'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
