Job summary
We are looking to recruit an experienced Health Care Assistant to complement our established and experienced team of nurses and HCA. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, can work independently and is passionate about providing excellent patient care.
The post is part time, 16 hours per week.
The candidate will be working strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols. The HCA will assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Main duties of the job
To support the Practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, delivering care within their scope of Practice to the entitled population. The HCA will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.
Duties include
1. Phlebotomy
2. Wound care
3. ECG's
4. B12
5. Removal of sutures and clips
6. Health checks
7. Pre diabetic checks
8. 24 hour ABPM monitoring

Qualifications
Essential
13. Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.
14. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
15. Ability to work independently.
16. Ability to record accurate clinical notes.
17. Qualified to a minimum level 2 in Health and social care.
18. Maths and English GCSE A-C.
Desirable
19. Knowledge of EMIS clinical system.
20. Competent in the use of Office and outlook.
Experience

21. Experience of working within a Health Care setting as an experienced HCA.
22. Computer literate.
23. Excellent up to date clinical knowledge.
