Commercial Disputes Associate / Senior Associate - Bristol
A top 50 UK law firm is seeking a talented Associate or Senior Associate to join its leading Dispute Resolution team. This is a standout opportunity for a mid to senior‑level solicitor with a strong background in commercial litigation and a keen interest in developing a practice in insurance policyholder disputes.
The Role
* Handling complex, high‑value disputes for national and international clients
* Advising on a broad range of commercial litigation including professional negligence, contractual disputes, warranty claims, and shareholder issues
* Leading on insurance coverage matters primarily for policyholders across sectors such as:
o Professional Indemnity
o Directors\' & Officers\' Liability
o Cyber
o Property & Casualty
o Warranty & Indemnity
o Construction Insurance
* Working closely with a Legal 500‑ranked partner to grow the insurance disputes offering
* Collaborating across departments including financial services, real estate, and corporate
What We're Looking For
* A qualified solicitor (SRA registered) with at least 5 years\' PQE
* Proven experience in high‑quality commercial litigation, ideally in the High Court or arbitration forums
* A genuine interest in insurance coverage disputes and policyholder representation
* Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
* Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development
* Ability to manage a varied and intellectually challenging caseload
