EXPERIENCED WASTE & RECYCLING OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR / YARD MANAGER REQUIRED TO OVERSEE A PRODUCTION TEAM AND SUPPORT THE OPERATIONS MANAGER AT A BUSY SITETITLE: Assistant Operations Manager / Yard Manager Waste & Recycling SiteSALARY: £33-39,000 plus benefits, Mon-Fri daysLOCATION: West BirminghamYOU MAY HAVE WORKED AS A: Waste Operations Team Leader, Hazardous Waste Transfer Station Supervisor, Metal Recycling Yard Manager, MRF Shift Manager, Quarry Supervisor, Aggregates Recycling, Anaerobic Digestion Plant Supervisor, Landfill Site Manager, Skip Hire Deputy Operations Manager, HWRC Site Manager, Plant Team Leader, Composting Site Manager, Yard SupervisorROLE: Assistant Operations Manager / Yard Manager Waste & Recycling SiteOversee day-to-day site operations, managing staff, allocating tasks, and ensuring all work and documentation is completed safely, compliantly, and on time.Support the Site Manager with planning, toolbox talks, reporting, and daily briefings, while proactively managing Health & Safety, PPE compliance, and environmental standards.Ensure equipment maintenance and LOLER requirements are met, oversee compliant loading, offloading, waste segregation, and weighing processes, and manage visitors and contractors through inductions and safety checks.Monitor on-site issues, liaise with operatives and transport teams, identify process improvements, and ensure all bulk transfer and TFS shipments meet regulatory and documentation standards.EXPERIENCE: Assistant Operations Manager / Yard Manager Waste & Recycling SiteYou MUST have experience managing or supervising a team in an Industrial, Chemicals, Foundry, Waste, Recycling, Quarrying or similar type environmentYou will be a hands on individual willing to chip in where requiredUseful qualifications: COTC / WAMITAB, NEBOSH or IOSH, ChemistryYou will have a UK Driving LicenceYOU MAY HAVE WORKED AS A: Waste Operations Team Leader, Hazardous Waste Transfer Station Supervisor, Metal Recycling Yard Manager, MRF Shift Manager, Quarry Supervisor, Aggregates Recycling, Anaerobic Digestion Plant Supervisor, Landfill Site Manager, Skip Hire Deputy Operations Manager, HWRC Site Manager, Plant Team Leader, Composting Site Manager, Yard SupervisorTPBN1_UKTJ
